Your Goals

I can help you in any of the following areas with a custom-built plan that takes you from where you are now, to where you want to be.

People usually come to achieve something for the first time, get faster, or recover from an injury/set-back. Your goal may fit into these first, faster, fitter headlines, but will be specific and personal to you – just as the programme and solution will be to get you there.

Your programme will set out the exact detail of what you need to do each day, and track your personal progress, across the physical, mental and lifestyle factors that will take you to success.

There are different levels of basic packages, but this is a personal thing for you and can include the level of 1-to-1 sessions that you want and need (whether in person, or via digital platforms). Face-to-face sessions are in the vicinity of Slough, UK (Bucks/Berks border), but digital technology and platforms enables video coaching and online support anywhere in the world (key packages are Training Peaks for plans, Zoom/other video meeting software – plus other more technical ones for people training with more data analytics and data inputs).

Additionally, personal training sessions are available in any of the disciplines. Some athletes use this during times when a full structured plan does not fit into the other priorities in their life, but they want insight, support and help to keep making progress.

You may have followed a programme previously that focused only on the sports-specific elements. I am a great believer that achieving big goals requires us to look at the lifestyle factors, as well as the physical ones. And actually, I really believe that this is one of the reasons that we are attracted by them – because what we learn in pursuit of the goal helps us with the rest of our lives (sometimes in unpredictable ways).

With me, there are the opportunities to explore and develop:

  1. Mental strength and resilience, through proven sports psychology practices used by athletes
  2. Addessing muscle balance and movement archetypes with strength work – and just as important, releases
  3. Finding the short-cut routes that work for you to engage your parasympathetic nervous system for rest & recovery
  4. Understanding your hormonal balance and cycles (men as well as women) and how to harness that
  5. Getting what you need from food for a well-fuelled, nutritious and happy life
  6. Managing pain and rehabilitation issues to learn to thrive, even with ongoing conditions

To get a sense of my experiences, you can watch this virtual 6-minute speech that I gave about running the famous Comrades ultra-marathon in South Africa – plus a video of my coaching philosophy is on the ‘Get In Touch’ page tab.
